Why reserve a Frenchie before the puppies are born?

The priority waitlist gives you first pick of color, sex, and pick-up order. Frenchie litters from responsible breeders are almost always spoken for before birth — waiting until puppies are on the ground usually means you get whatever’s left, if anything.

Is the waitlist deposit refundable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every I Heart Standards™ breeder holds waitlist deposits in refundable status until you’ve chosen a specific puppy. If the litter doesn’t produce the color or sex you want, or you decide not to move forward, the deposit is returned in full.

Question 3

What happens after I join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

You’ll be added to the list in order received and get updates on pregnancy confirmation, ultrasound, whelping day, birth announcement, weekly photos, and eight-week evaluations. Selection happens in list order around week six.

Question 4

Can I get on more than one waitlist?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many families join two or three pairings if they’re open on color or timing. As soon as one converts to a firm reservation, the others are refunded.

Question 5

How do you decide which puppies go to which families?

Accepted Answer

You pick, in list order. Once selection week arrives, families choose in the order they joined the waitlist. If you want a specific color or sex, being early on the list is what secures it.

Question 6

Are the parents AKC and health-tested?

Accepted Answer

Every listed pairing has AKC-registered parents with completed health testing (OFA/PennHIP, patella, cardiac, BOAS assessment) and full DNA color and health panels. Test results are available before you commit.

Question 7

What if the litter doesn’t produce the color I wanted?

Accepted Answer

You have two options: switch to a different puppy in the litter, or move your deposit to the next planned pairing. If neither works, we refund in full. No fine print.

Question 8

When do puppies come home?

Accepted Answer

French Bulldog puppies stay with their mother and littermates until at least eight weeks for proper socialization. Go-home dates for each pairing are listed on the individual litter pages.
