IHeartFrenchies is launching with a curated network of 50 founding breeders—hand-picked, health-focused programs we'd trust with our own families. This isn't open enrollment. It's an invitation to help us build something better from the ground up.
If you're running a program that prioritizes OFA cardiac clearances, patella evaluations, CERF eye exams, BOAS grading, and full DNA color panels over quick sales, we want to talk.
What the Founding Breeder Program Is (and Isn't)
This is a closed cohort. When we reach 50 breeders across our core states—Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico—we close applications and move to our standard tiered membership model (New, Trusted, Verified, Health Certified, Elite, and Hall of Fame).
Founding Breeders aren't just early adopters. They're partners. You'll shape our breeder standards, test new features before public release, and help us prove that families will pay more to work with programs that do things right.
We're not looking for the most puppies produced. We're looking for breeders who:
- Maintain current health clearances on all breeding dogs
- Provide transparent health guarantees (not fine-print loopholes)
- Answer questions honestly, even when it costs a sale
- Understand that a well-placed puppy matters more than a fast placement
- Want to be part of a community, not just a listing service

Your profile carries a permanent "Founding Breeder" designation. Families browsing the site will know you were hand-selected to launch this platform—a trust signal that can't be bought later.
This badge appears on your profile header, in search results, and in the breeder directory. It stays with your program as long as you remain active, even as we grow beyond the initial 50.
2. Homepage Exposure
Every Founding Breeder rotates through featured placement on our homepage. Not buried on page three of search results. Not pay-per-click upsells.
We built IHeartFrenchies because we were tired of seeing backyard breeders outrank responsible programs just because they gamed SEO or bought ads. Founding Breeders get visibility that reflects the quality of their work.
3. Lifetime Introductory Pricing
Lock in founding membership rates permanently. When we launch tiered pricing for new breeders—whether that's Health Certified at $79/month or Elite at $149/month—your rate stays at the Founding Breeder level.
No annual increases tied to inflation. No "introductory period expires in 12 months." You helped us build this. We remember that.
4. IHeartFrenchies Photography Kit
Professional photos sell puppies. Amateur iPhone shots in poor lighting don't.
We're shipping every Founding Breeder a curated photography kit: backdrop options, lighting guidance, shot list templates, and editing presets. These are the same tools we use for our own content.
You'll also get access to our photography workshop (normally reserved for Elite members), which covers how to capture structure shots for health documentation, puppy personality for family matching, and environmental portraits that show your program's care standards.
5. Priority Support
You'll have direct access to our breeder success team—real people, not ticket queues. Questions about profile optimization, health documentation uploads, family vetting tools, or contract templates get answered first.
As we scale, support response times will vary by membership tier. Founding Breeders stay at the front of the line.
6. Early Access and Advisory Role
New features launch to Founding Breeders first. Whether it's our family matching algorithm, video consultation scheduling, health record management system, or AI-powered inquiry screening, you'll test it, break it, and help us fix it before public release.
You'll also receive quarterly invitations to our advisory calls. We want to hear what's working, what families are asking for, and what would make your job easier. Some of our best ideas will come from breeders who live this work daily.
The Philosophy: Small and Trusted Beats Big and Chaotic
We've watched breeder platforms grow to thousands of listings, then collapse under the weight of complaints, refund demands, and reputation damage. Volume without vetting helps no one.
Our model is different. Fifty breeders across three states means we can verify every health claim, visit programs when questions arise, and remove breeders who cut corners. Families win because they're choosing from pre-screened programs. Breeders win because they're not competing with puppy mills pretending to be reputable.
Could we grow faster with open enrollment and automated approvals? Absolutely. Would we be proud of what we built? Not a chance.
How Ethical Breeders Apply
We're currently reviewing applications for the final 18 spots in our Founding Breeder cohort. If your program meets our health-testing standards and you're based in Texas, Oklahoma, or New Mexico, submit your breeder application through our vetting form.
You'll provide current OFA/PennHIP documentation, lineage records, your health guarantee terms, references from past families, and your veterinary partnership details. We'll schedule a video call to discuss your breeding philosophy, facility setup, and what you're looking for in a platform partner.
Decisions typically take 7–10 days. When we hit 50, this program closes and won't reopen.
