What is a New Shade Isabella French Bulldog?
"New Shade" is a marketing term some breeders use for Isabella lines carrying the newer Cocoa (co) locus in addition to the traditional Chocolate (b) locus. The Cocoa allele produces subtly different browns and, layered with dilute, creates a distinct visual variant.
A slightly warmer, rosier Isabella coat than the traditional b/b · d/d expression. Nose and paw pads carry a light rose-mauve tone.

Requires DNA panels that test for both the B and Cocoa loci — many older panels only cover one.
