Fawn
Classic sandy-tan, dominant, the most common Frenchie color.
Brindle
Tiger-stripe pattern layered on any base color, dominant.
Pied
White with color patches, recessive, requires both parents to carry.
Cream
Pale off-white, recessive, no black mask.
Blue
Diluted black, recessive (dd), both parents must carry dilution.
Chocolate (traditional and cocoa)
Two different chocolate genes exist in Frenchies. DNA testing distinguishes them.
Lilac (isabella)
Chocolate plus blue. The rarest of the traditional colors.
Tan Points
Small tan markings on face, chest, and legs.
Merle
Marbled pattern. Never breed merle to merle.
Fluffy
Long-coat gene. Both parents must carry.
